So, Ayanna Patterson is convinced that Lisa Miller is actually her missing daughter, Alexis Patterson, who disappeared like 21 years ago. But now, this other woman pops up online claiming to be Alexis, and it’s making things super confusing.
On TikTok, a user named @Te-Erika talked about how a woman came forward saying she’s the long-lost Alexis Patterson. She even pointed out how they look kinda similar, which got some people believing it. But others aren’t buying it, saying the woman might just be faking it since they don’t really look that much alike.
Despite all this, Ayanna Patterson is still sure that Lisa Miller is her daughter. This whole Lisa Miller thing blew up in 2016 after Joshua Miller, from Bryan, Ohio, told the cops he thought his ex-wife Lisa could be Alexis Patterson because of how similar they looked and some weird stuff about her past.
Ayanna Thinks the DNA Test Was Rigged After It Didn’t Match
Back on May 3, 2002, Alexis Patterson, who was just 7 years old then, walked to school with her stepdad, LaRon Bourgeois. But she never came back home that day, and just like that, she was gone. The cops searched everywhere, but they couldn’t find anything, and the case just went cold.
Even though everyone else moved on, Ayanna never gave up on finding her daughter. Then, in 2016, Lisa Miller’s name came up as someone who could possibly be Alexis.
There were some crazy similarities between Alexis and Lisa—like a bump on the left pinky finger, a scar under the right eye, a matching birthmark, and even their faces looked kinda alike. Ayanna was sure Lisa was her daughter.
So, the Milwaukee Police did a DNA test, but it came back negative. But here’s the thing—Ayanna doesn’t trust that test. She said the cops didn’t even use her own DNA for the test; instead, they used some old toothbrush that was supposedly Alexis’s from back in 2002. Ayanna thinks that toothbrush might not even be Alexis’s, so she’s still convinced Lisa Miller is really Alexis.
Even though the DNA test said otherwise, Ayanna feels a strong connection with Lisa Miller and believes she’s her daughter. But Lisa, on the other hand, has denied being Alexis Patterson.
To make things even weirder, there was another report from a guy named Justin Welch saying one of his prison buddies confessed to killing Alexis. And now, with this new woman claiming to be Alexis popping up, it’s just making the whole case even more complicated.
Extra Info:
- Over the last 21 years since Alexis Patterson went missing, there’ve been a bunch of claims and reports, but none of them have been proven for sure.
- Alexis was born on April 4, 1995, to her mom Ayanna Patterson and dad Kenya Campbell. Her stepdad, LaRon Bourgeois, was the last person to see her, but he passed away in 2021 from what’s believed to be a drug overdose.
- The cops initially suspected Alexis’s biological dad, but they dropped that lead because he was in prison at the time she disappeared.
- Even though Lisa Miller and Alexis Patterson look similar, their ages and backgrounds don’t match up—Lisa’s actually older, and she said she’s from Belize and grew up there.
