Jack Russell’s Life and Net Worth: A Casual Look

Posted on

Jack Patrick Russell, the rock singer from the band Great White, recently passed away at 63. He left behind a net worth of about $10 million.

Jack was born in Montebello, California, and grew up loving music. He looked up to legends like Robert Plant and Steven Tyler and sang in a bunch of high school bands. Later, he met Mark Kendall at a concert, and they started a band called Dante Fox, but changed it to Great White. The new name came from Kendall’s white hair and light skin.

Bret Michaels from Poison tweeted, “To my friend Jack Russell, such an amazing voice. May you rest in peace.”

Jack was with Great White from 1981 to 1996. Then, he took a break to release a solo album, “Shelter Me.” He rejoined Great White until they broke up for good. Even after that, Jack tried to keep the band’s spirit alive with another album, “For You,” and got the old lineup back together.

Jack did a lot for Great White. He released several albums like “The Final Cuts,” “Revisiting Familiar Waters,” “Once Bitten, Twice Live,” and “Rock Me: The Best of Great White.” This work helped him build up his $10 million net worth. He also made money from Great White merch and his “Road Starz of Rock” podcast.

Jack worked with other famous musicians too, like Michael Romeo, Jeff Baxter, Bruce Kulick, Herman Rarebell, and George Lynch. Until he retired in January 2024, Jack was working on a collaboration album with L.A. Guns guitarist titled “Medusa.” This was his last studio recording.

Jack shared on Instagram that he had Lewy body dementia, a condition that affects movement, memory, and thinking because of protein buildup in the brain. In his last message, he said, “I am unable to perform at the level I desire and at the level you deserve. Words cannot express my gratitude for the many years of memories, love and support.“

Before he died, Jack wrote an autobiography called “The True Tale of Mista Bone: A Rock+Roll Narrative,” with K.L. Doty. This book gives fans a deep look into his rockstar life.

Jack passed away peacefully with his wife, Heather Ann Russell, son Matthew Hucko, and close family by his side. He left behind a legacy and a net worth that made a big impact on rock music.
