The Sad News

Hey everyone, so some really sad news came out during a WAN show recently. Linus Sebastian, the Canadian YouTuber we all know, shared that his older sister, Emma Sebastian, passed away in June 2024. She was just 40 years old, which is so young.

Emma’s Life

Emma wasn’t in the spotlight like Linus. She did her own creative stuff and seemed really happy doing her thing away from all the YouTube fame. Her passing has hit Linus’ fans hard because it’s just so unexpected and tragic.

Memorial Service

Her memorial service happened on July 27, 2024, at Tsawwassen United Church, and lots of friends and family were there. The family hasn’t shared the cause of her death, and we should respect their privacy on that.

Internet Reaction

Since the news broke, the internet’s been full of condolences and support for Linus and his family. One person on Reddit said, “I’d like to extend my deepest condolences to the Sebastian family. I can’t imagine how hard it was to keep it together in front of your almost 16 million viewers.” That really shows how much people care.

Emma’s Kind Heart

Emma was known for being super kind and giving. She was a big part of her church and did lots of good work, like helping out at events and running a food program for people in need. She also made cool upcycled clothes for Linus, which his fans loved seeing.

Family Left Behind

Emma leaves behind her grandparents Archie and Donna Mullan, her mom Heather Sebastian, dad Graeme Benner, stepdad Peter Neufeld, and her siblings Linus, Isabelle, George, and Asher. Some of them are married and have kids. Emma and her siblings, except for Linus, chose to stay out of the public eye.
