Jack Patrick Russell, the American rock vocalist and founding member of Great White, passed away at 63, leaving behind a net worth of $10 million. Born in Montebello, California, Jack was influenced by rock legends like Robert Plant and Steven Tyler and sang for several high school bands.

Jack met Mark Kendall at a concert, and they formed a band called Dante Fox, later renamed Great White after Kendall’s nickname due to his white hair and light complexion.

“To my friend Jack Russell, such an amazing voice. May you rest in peace.” – Bret Michaels (@bretmichaels) August 16, 2024

From 1981 to 1996, Jack was with Great White before releasing his first solo album, “Shelter Me.” He rejoined the band until they officially broke up. Jack tried to carry on the band’s legacy with the album “For You,” which led to the band’s reformation with its classical lineup.

Jack released several albums, including “The Final Cuts,” “Revisiting Familiar Waters,” “Once Bitten, Twice Live,” and “Rock Me: The Best of Great White.” With such a diverse portfolio, it’s no surprise Jack amassed a net worth of $10 million before his untimely death.

Jack also earned extra income from his Great White merch and the “Road Starz of Rock” podcast!

Jack worked with several artists, including Michael Romeo, Jeff Baxter, Bruce Kulick, Herman Rarebell, and George Lynch. Until his retirement in January 2024, Jack worked on a collaboration album with L.A. Guns guitarist titled “Medusa,” which became his final studio recording.

Jack revealed on Instagram that he’d been suffering from Lewy body dementia, a condition where protein buildup in the brain hampers movement, memory, and thinking. As part of his last words, Jack talked about his final days:

“I am unable to perform at the level I desire and at the level you deserve. Words cannot express my gratitude for the many years of memories, love, and support.”

Fortunately, Jack penned his autobiography, “The True Tale of Mista Bone: A Rock+Roll Narrative,” with author K.L. Doty, providing fans a deep insight into his lifestyle.

During his final moments, Jack passed away peacefully in the presence of his wife, Heather Ann Russell, son Matthew Hucko, and other close family members, leaving behind a legacy and net worth that significantly impacted the rock music scene.
