Dakayla Wilson, who grabbed everyone’s attention with her amazing moves on So You Think You Can Dance, is making headlines again. This time, it’s about her relationship with Dance Moms alum JoJo Siwa. JoJo, now 21, shared their love story on social media, and it’s super sweet!
On August 14, 2024, JoJo posted a dance video on TikTok with the caption, “Girlfriend taught a dance class, so I took a weekend off of being JOJO Siwa and became her All-Star Assistant.“ She added, “Dakayla Wilson broke my body in half for this, but it’s worth it,” with a red heart emoji. Fans went crazy, saying JoJo should make Dakayla her dance choreographer because she’s the best girlfriend and assistant.
JoJo also shared a photo on Instagram Stories holding Dakayla’s hand with the caption “Perfect Day” and a black heart emoji. Dakayla reposted it on her Instagram with the same caption. They look so happy together!
Dakayla, who is 17, posted pics from her trip to Disney California Adventure, including one where she’s holding JoJo’s hand. Before dating Dakayla, JoJo was with social media star Avery Cyrus until 2022. Dakayla was rumored to be dating Anthony Aderson Curley, the season 18 winner of So You Think You Can Dance, but nothing was confirmed.

Dakayla Wilson has been dancing since she was just two years old! She’s got a serious passion for dance and it shows. She can adapt to new dance styles and choreography, making her stand out. Her mix of gymnastic skills and artistic flair leaves everyone in awe.
She’s trained in Contemporary, Hip-hop, Musical Theatre, Jazz, and Ballet. Dakayla’s performance on So You Think You Can Dance season 18 was incredible, earning her the runner-up spot.
Not only is she a great dancer, but Dakayla is also an amazing dance teacher. She inspires young dancers and works as a dance mentor at CLI Conservatory.
