Nick Mead & His Girlfriend Paulina Are Getting Married!

Yo, guess what? Olympic rower Nick Mead and his girlfriend, Paulina Orillac, are tying the knot! These two have been together since their college days at Princeton, and now they’re finally making it official.

College Sweethearts Turned Future Spouses

Nick and Paulina go way back to when they met at Princeton University. Paulina graduated in 2017 with a degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering, which is pretty impressive. Nick’s been all about her since day one, calling her the funniest and prettiest girl he’s ever met.

They’ve been through a lot together, even when life pulled them in different directions after graduation. But despite the distance, their relationship stayed strong. After almost 11 years together, Nick popped the question on their tenth anniversary, and of course, she said yes! They’re getting married on October 5, 2024, at the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola in New York.

Paulina’s Career is Just as Impressive as Nick’s

Paulina’s got some serious career goals. Right out of college, she worked as an investment banking associate at Centerview Partners for almost four years. Then she moved on to be an analyst at Greater NY and joined the Community Service Society of New York board as a junior member.

Now, she’s killing it as the Vice President of Enlightened Hospitality Investments. She’s been at it for three and a half years. Even though her Instagram is private, with just 108 followers, it’s clear she’s got a lot going on. Nick’s been super supportive of her career, and it’s cool to see them backing each other up.

Nick Mead: Olympic Gold Medalist and Flag Bearer

Nick’s not just about that history degree he got at Princeton—he’s an Olympic rower too! Recently, he and his team made history by winning the gold medal in rowing at the Paris Olympics, the first time the USA has won in six decades. After that epic win, Nick was named one of the flag bearers for Team USA, which is a huge deal.

Rowing runs in Nick’s family—his dad, mom, and brother were all rowers too. Nick started rowing as a freshman at Princeton, and it’s been a wild ride since then. He competed in his first Olympics in 2020, where his team placed fourth. But now, in 2024, he’s got that gold medal with his team of four.

The honor of being a flag bearer, alongside Katie Ledecky, at the closing of the Paris Olympics is like the cherry on top of an amazing career. Nick’s been sharing all his excitement on social media, and fans have been showering him with congrats.
